Who We Are:
About Us

How We Started:
A Coyote Transformation
Audrey Tournay moved to the Parry Sound area from St. Catharines in 1969. Audrey was a high school teacher until 1982 and brought her furry friends into the classrooms to help her dispel some myths about the animals. Raccoons, porcupines, skunks, you name it. In 1972 Audrey moved to Aspen Valley and it was then Audrey first took in an injured raccoon, and the stream of animals directed to her care has never ceased. She has never been known to turn an animal away and the Sanctuary's reputation as a refuge grew has grown from there. Over the last few years, Audrey has taken on a small staff and numerous volunteers to help.
