Wildlife Education

At Aspen Valley, we believe that the future welfare of wildlife and the environment lies in the education of young people, and in the sharing of knowledge with all.

In our efforts to increase awareness and appreciation of wildlife and to educate others on related issues such as habitat loss, Aspen Valley regularly attends community events, produces a bi-annual newsletter, offers presentations on a variety of topics and is featured regularly in the Parry Sound Beacon and the Muskokan (a weekly publication spring through fall in Muskoka). We are also extremely grateful for the ongoing support of Rosseau Market.

With support from the Shell Environmental Fund, the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Conservation Fund and W. Garfield Weston Foundation, the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary offers an extensive education program. Through both on-site, and outreach programming, Aspen Valley provides a hands-on, enjoyable learning experience aimed at fostering a greater understanding of wildlife and an inherent respect for all living creatures in today’s youth.
