The Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary relies purely on donations and support from those that take an interest in our work to meet an ever-increasing need to care for wildlife in distress.  There are many ways you can help us to help the animals!

Fund-Raising Events 2007

  1. March 10th Second Annual 50’s and 60’s Dance.  Event is being held at the Huntsville Legion and sponsored by the Muskoka Nights Cruise-In. $10.00 each.  Event is licensed;  cost of drinks is extra. Aspen Valley pictures and power point presentation running during dance.  Ticket entry only.

  2. May 5th Fourth Annual Dinner, Silent Auction and Spring Flower Sale.  Event is being held at the Port Carling Community Centre.  Your delicious dinner will be catered by Christine Bib.  Live Music.  Potted flower arrangements, hanging baskets and deck planters have been donated by Sants & Sons Greenhouses.  Liquor Licensed by the Lions.  Tickets are $40.00 per person.  Highly anticipated, tickets go fast.

  3. July 28th Second Annual Live Auction. Event is being held at the Port Carling Community Centre.  All welcome for this fun and exciting day.  Viewing starts at 10 am; auction begins at 11 am.  Bid on many items including local art, pottery, tools, hand crafted wooden cabinets and much, much more.

  4. September 15th Fourth Annual Nature Trail WALK-A-THON.  Held at the Sanctuary.  Starting at 10 am this 5 KM hike through the quiet wood of the Sanctuary brings you past glacier deposits, hemlock forests and a pristine beaver created lake.  Your guided hike will teach and show you the signs left by all types of wildlife.  A campfire, lunch and beverages will be awaiting you upon your return.  Great for all ages.  Collect pledges from family and friends to help support the wildlife at the Sanctuary.

  5. September 22nd – Fifth Annual Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary Golf Tournament.  Organized by the Parry Sound Canada Post and held at the Seguin Valley G&CC.  18 hole championship course, 4 player scramble, dinner and prizes.  It's a great game for a great cause.  Forms are available at the Sanctuary.

  6. November 24th – Second Annual Christmas in the Valley.  This was a huge success that had to be repeated.  Organized by the people and businesses of the Village of Rosseau, this bazaar promotes the talent and skills of this area plus raises funds to support the Sanctuary.  Doors open from 10-4 at the Rosseau Memorial Hall; lunch and beverages are available.  Start and finish your Christmas shopping all in one place.

Adopt-an-Animal Program
Looking for a unique gift idea? Click here to learn more about our animal adoption program. Recipients will receive a picture, story and adoption certificate of one of the Sanctuary's permanent residents. Great for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries as well as memorial donations. Or support the animal of your choice in lieu of a donation.
