Tony Feeding an Orphaned MooseThe Moose is the biggest animal in Ontario – Males weigh 400-600kg (880-1320lb) and females weigh 375-550kg (825-1,210lb). They are usually very placid animals eating mostly twigs, bark, grasses, and water lilies. They are very good swimmers. During rutting season (when they search for girlfriends) in September – October, the bulls become aggressive and unpredictable.
